Women Self-Defense Initiative

Empower Yourself to Reclaim Agency

Every woman knows what it means to navigate violence—whether from personal experience or the weight of intergenerational trauma. Women are vulnerable globally, and self-defense is not optional. It's urgent.

Why This Matters—Right Now

But here's the problem: women trying to reclaim safety face three interconnected barriers:

1

Access

Most women can't get quality self-defense training that's affordable, trauma-informed, and meets them where they are.

2

Ecosystem

Existing spaces are male-dominated, outdated, or gatekeep knowledge behind expensive credentials.

3

Isolation

Women doing this work—instructors, activists, leaders—are scattered and alone instead of building a connected movement.

What We're Building

An International Self-Defense Platform—By Women, For Women

  • Self-Defense for Women: Quality self-defense classes led by women for girls and women, building global safety and empowerment
  • Accessible Women's Safety: Girls and women globally gain access to quality, trauma-informed self-defense classes led by women in safe environments
  • Accessible Resources: Curated data, research, and best practices to build awareness and empower women to reclaim their agency

This isn't just about techniques. We're creating a space where women reclaim agency, build community, and own the knowledge that's been gatekept for too long.
